The transverse adjustment of the fusion device has many advantages. This issue is not about discussing the advantages, but about how to achieve perfect transverse placement without causing symptoms.

The ideal horizontal placement is as shown in the figure

The same side was not hammered in place as shown in the picture

If the same side is not hammered in place, the hammer will touch the fusion device under the mirror. The mark located on the shallow side is as shown in the figure

If the hammer is inserted too deeply on the same side, the opposite side may lift up, which may cause symptoms on the opposite side as shown in the picture

If the hammer is hammered too deeply on the same side, the opposite side will lift up.The hammer mirror is pressed against the fusion device, and the deep mark is located on the side position

A real case is as follows

After placing two transverse fusion devices in paraspinal ExTLIF, I was overly confident and did not perform lateral fluoroscopy

After the percutaneous nailing was completed, it was found that the fusion device was located at the back

The same side of the hammer insert is pressed against the side position of the fusion device for shooting. It is confirmed that the opposite side of the fusion device is lifted and needs to be adjusted

Enter the mirror through the original path, expand the space inward, and place the hammer to the middle of the fusion device and the opposite side for hammering adjustment
